It is only 10 days til Christmas! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for serving, selling and loving Owens Coffee, and we wish every one of you a fantastic 2018. It has been very busy few months for us here at Owens.
Not only are we planning for our new premises, more news on that soon; we have also just welcomed a new Business Development Manager, Rowan Kirk. Rowan previously worked with Bacardi in the South West as a Customer Development Executive, and we are delighted he is joining the team.
Speaking of our team, Kez has returned from maternity leave and is busy roasting for all our lovely customers, and Livvy has returned from a very long holiday, so we are back to a full house team-wise, which we are all really happy about, especially Leanne as she was working incredibly hard!
However, we always have time to include some useful information, so here is a top recipe for a really speedy alternative dessert for Christmas Day lunch.
It takes 5 minutes only – how good is that!
Chilled coffee Affagato, serves 4 – You will need 4 wine glassesIngredients
- 10 fl oz chilled Owens coffee, 6 single tablespoons of Amaretto
- 8 scoops of coffee ice cream, 6 oz chopped almonds, 10fl oz double cream
- In a large bowl beat the double cream and 1 tablespoon of Amaretto until soft peaks form. Into each wine glass/serving dish, pour a quarter of the chilled coffee and 1 tablespoon of Amaretto. Add 2 scoops of ice to each glass and top with the whipped cream and nuts. Serve immediately.
- So apart from the usual chaos that seems to creep up on us at this time of year, we hope you are all ready for the Big Man’s arrival! Just remember for your Christmas shopping: it is very simple with the kids, under 3’s like to play with a big box, kids over that age write a list. Adults should receive a bottle of their favourite tipple and if they don’t drink, give them a delicious bag of Owens coffee!
