Introducing our newest member of the Owens team; a big welcome to Jon!
We are thrilled to have Jon join us. We already knew him, from his previous role as Catering & Retail Manager at the Theatre Royal Plymouth’s café; one of our valued Owens’ trade customers!
Jon comes on board in a brand-new role as our Retail Manager and has been excited to get things moving. “It is such a great company to work for. I already knew how good the coffee is and I love the team’s commitment to sustainability. The fact that all of our coffees are organic and Fairtrade (even including the Decaf), is increasingly important for many of today’s consumers. It sets the bar for the other products we sell in-store too. I like that we that we encourage people to buy a local, sustainable, great-tasting product!”.
Jon has certainly hit the ground running! Within less than two weeks of his first day we moved from our smaller trade counter shop back into the bigger, better shop which some of you visited when we opened up temporarily before Christmas.
Locally sourced food and drinks on-the-go
And there are already some big improvements!
Firstly, we’ve widened our food offer. Our customers will be pleased to hear that all of our products are sourced locally.
You can now purchase bacon toasties, sandwiches, hot paninis, freshly baked cakes and pastries, brownies, shortbreads, flapjacks and more “to go” with your takeaway coffee and hot drinks, or with a range of cold drinks straight from the fridge!
Organic, vegan and gluten free options
We have included organic products in the range, as well as vegan and gluten free cakes. If you have any preferences or particular favourites that we might begin to stock, please let Jon know next time you visit.
Take a seat at our new outdoor decking area
The big news is that our new decking area is NOW OPEN! Our customers have often asked us if there is any kind of seating area at The Roastery. We are thrilled to announce that our outdoor deck is now open with tables and benches, where you can sit and enjoy your takeaway.
Make us your local coffee stop off the A38!
Do make us your local coffee stop! - and if you know anyone else who may be interested, please spread the word! We are easy to find, just off the A38 dual carriageway at Ivybridge (right next door to Endsleigh Garden Centre). it makes us the perfect local alternative for fueling up on drinks and snacks which you might normally pick up from a service station on the way through the area.
All we ask is that you stay Covid-safe. And we’ll continue to do the same!
