At the heart of our Roastery in Devon is our Loring S35 Kestrel roaster which reinvented how coffee was roasted.
A traditional roaster generates smoke which remains within the chamber, affecting the flavour of the beans, or requiring an additional external afterburner to eliminate the smoke, using significantly more energy.
Our wonderful Loring uses a single burner to both roast the beans and to incinerate the smoke, achieving a "clean" smoke-free roast to keep the flavour of the coffee pure, eliminating the smoke extracted into the environment, and saving up to 80% energy in the process.
