Las Damas de San Ignacio – COOPAFSI

At Owens, every cup starts with people. Our coffee is grown by dedicated farmers and cooperatives around the world, whose care and expertise bring out the rich flavours in every roast. By choosing 100% organic, specialty and Fairtrade beans, we support better livelihoods for farming communities — so when you meet our farmers, you’re also meeting the heart of our coffee.

Las Damas de San Ignacio is a group of more than 100 women within COOPAFSI, dedicated to producing specialty-grade coffee while building leadership and empowerment for female farmers. They receive training, access to microfinance, and opportunities to market their own coffee under the Las Damas name. Their work has helped reshape the cooperative, ensuring women’s voices and skills are central to its future.
