This taster pack of three of our favourite coffees have either won or been finalists in the Best of Organic Market (BOOM) Awards, run by the Soil Association Certification. Popular Owens' house blend Gara won the Best Organic Coffee sub-category in 2019, and more recently, our specialty Rwandan Jabulani, won the UK's Best Organic Coffee sub-category in 2023. Peruvian Tunki was a finalist in the 2023 awards and uses specialty-grade beans from Peru. This pack also includes a 16 page guide 'How to Taste Coffee Like a Professional' so don't just take the judges word for it - you can decide for yourself!
The UK's Best of Organic Market (BOOM) Awards is run by the Soil Association Certification. We've entered the awards twice and both times, one of our coffees has won the sub-category for the UK's Best Organic Coffee - in 2019 it was our popular Gara blend, and then in 2023 it was our Rwandan single origin, Jabulani, which we produce in partnership with the Diversity Business Incubator CIC.
These coffees have been hand-picked by the BOOM Awards judges. In 2023, the judges had over 300 organic products entered into the awards under various categories.
Would you like to taste the coffee yourself and find out why the judges picked them out? We've put these two winning coffees together, alongside our customer favourite and 2023 BOOM Awards finalist, Tunki (an organic, single origin coffee from Peru) in our BOOM Awards Taster Pack. We will even help you decide which is your favourite from our three entries by including our guide to tasting coffee like a professional.
What's included?
Please note: Tunki has been developed by our roasters specifically for filter brewing. For this reason, the BOOM Awards Taster Pack is only available as whole beans or as medium ground coffee and we recommend brewing with a cafetiere/french press, V60, filter machine or other filter brewing method.
Parcels are sent in a letterbox-sized box and 1st class postage by Royal Mail is included in the price.

Whole Beans or Medium Ground?
Whole Beans - The best way to enjoy great coffee is by grinding your coffee beans each time you brew. This gives you the freshest results with the best flavour. However, if you don't have a grinder at home (or a grinder built into an espresso machine), choose ground coffee beans (see below).
Medium Ground - Medium Ground coffee for all filter brewing methods and can be recommended as a potential alternative to fine ground when using an Aeropress, depending on your recipe.
